Bevri: Authentic Dining in the Heart of Palo Alto

We really enjoy eating at Bevri. The restaurant is inviting, spotlessly clean, and has great lighting--it isn't dark like many other places. There was even a lovely floral scent in the air. I also appreciate that the acoustics are good; it's not a madhouse, so you can actually have a conversation.

The food is tasty and delicious. We started with the Pkhali; the spinach and beet spread with walnuts was perfect with the eggplant rolls. The Khachapuri Adjaruli was a highlight--the bread boat was crispy, light, and fluffy, and mixing the egg and cheese is so satisfying. Next, we had the Khinkali (Georgian soup dumplings). The meat was seasoned perfectly.

For mains, the Baje Shrimp had a lightly sweet marinade with a nice tart/sour sauce that paired well with the bread. The Georgian Salad was fresh and crisp. The Beef Ribs with Tashmijab were fall-off-the-bone tender, and the sauce was incredible.

We also tried the Tarkhun, a tarragon-flavored soda which had a pleasant herbal taste. For dessert, the Pelamushi was rich and gooey. Everything was so good we ended up taking leftovers home!

Great authentic Georgian food! We keep coming back every time we visit Palo Alto.

Went with two friends for an after work dinner and we had such a great time! We weren’t totally sure what to order, and Eric gave us great feedback to make sure that we would be happy with our choices - the meal was absolutely delicious, the restaurant is beautiful, and the service was wonderful. Highly recommend!

We thoroughly enjoyed the food and wine here. A fantastic experience and surprisingly good Georgian wine.
