Bevri: Authentic Dining in the Heart of Palo Alto
Bevri is a Georgian restaurant in Palo Alto, California, serving authentic dishes from Georgia (the country).
The name "Bevri" means "a lot" in Georgian, reflecting its generous portions and festive spirit. It's especially known for classics like khachapuri (cheese-filled bread, baked in a wood-burning oven) and khinkali (juicy soup dumplings), plus grilled meats and a great selection of Georgian wines.
To provide equitable compensation for our entire team and a stress-free experience for you, Bevri operates as a tip-free restaurant.

This restaurant is defying all the rules--and I'm here for it. You have a restaurant situated in a prime location, serving delicious, extremely reasonably priced food and wine, with a friendly, efficient staff who don't expect tips. How?!? The owners need to write a book and sell it to the rest of America.
I really enjoyed their red and white "sweet" wines by the glass. They weren't actually dessert-level, but more semi-sweet, which worked well with the dishes. If you're into Rieslings and red sangrias, they will hit the spot.
The cheese boat (3.5/5), while tasty at first, became very one-note and heavy after. I think it would have suited my personal taste if it had a little more salt. But who am I to judge this cuisine; take my feedback with a grain of salt ;)
Now the Pork Mtsvadi were out of this world. Beautifully marinated porky goodness with a ton of flavor. So good... The accompanying potatoes were nicely roasted, and that red sauce--fire-roasted peppers and tomatoes?!?--was slurp worthy.
We also had a pear dessert that wasn't overly sweet and hit the spot without any sugar crash afterwards.
When the bill arrived, and I paid by card, I got a receipt without the option to tip--just a spot for your signature. I felt guilty about leaving without a tip, so we left some money on the table anyway. Because, even in Europe, you still tip for great hospitality (check out the menu for reference).

My whole family and friends love Bevri not only for outstanding delicious Georgian cuisine but also for friendly and inviting atmosphere that they provide their customers. Some tips I would give in coming first time. My favorite dish is "Khinkali". It is a very popular traditional Georgian dumpling made of twisted knobs of dough, stuffed with meat and spices. Just recently, they improved their recipe, now the layer of dough is thinner and the stuffing is flavorful and more juicy. The best way to start a true Georgian dinner is appetizer sampler so you can try authentic pkhali (vegetable and walnut spread), creamy walnut-stuffed eggplant rolls and house-made satsivi walnut sauce with chicken. I'm wine lover and they have great collection of Georgian wines. Unique Georgian Amber wine is also a must-try. Enjoy a glass of Rkatsiteli Orgo made with skin contact in clay jars called Qvevri and taste its rich flavor, notes of dry fruits and light tannins. Overall, I highly recommend this place. Great job, team ❤

This place is phenomenal!! This is our 2nd visit to Bevri , our first visit was 5 years ago during COVID . The 2nd visit was this evening w/ some friends who never experienced the cuisine of Georgian food. We enjoyed a lot of different appetizers which everyone's favorite was Khachapuri Adjaruli & the Khinkali ( mushroom & lamb ) the Georgian salad. The entrees you would think it were small but honestly the perfect portion where you didn't feel like you over ate , everything was well season & very delicious. We have had Georgian food when my husband was actually working there as an Ex Pat & it was just as good as if we were there . Our server was Abu & he was very professional & honest about the wines we had the amber wine called Tevza, Goruli Mtsvane a dry wine with hints of apricot & orange rind ( I believe ) A first time trying an amber wine which was surprisingly good . I'm use to drinking red but my husband suggested that we try something different which was a great suggestion.
Everyone was very friendly & kind & professional & efficient.
The inside of the place is very traditional Georgian but simple & not overly done . The restaurant is very clean as well as the restrooms were very clean.
Did y'all remodel, is this a different location ? It's a very nice restaurant & definitely enjoyed our dining experience at Bevri ! We will definitely be back .
